Job Title: Psychiatric Technician

PrairieCare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Technician to join our team. As a Psychiatric Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children and adolescents experiencing psychiatric/mental health disorders.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and assist in the mental health symptom management of child and adolescent patients
  • Ensure the safety of patients and staff during programming by constantly monitoring the milieu for potential safety risks
  • Effectively use therapeutic approaches to manage milieus and reduce the use of restraint and seclusion when possible
  • Complete documentation in a timely manner and maintain confidentiality in matters related to patients and families
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure safe patient care and provide a therapeutic and healing environment
Requirements:
  • High school graduate required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a mental health setting with pediatric population
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate in a professional manner
  • Ability to multitask, use time efficiently, and prioritize appropriately
