Job Title: Advancement Associate, Annual Giving

Job Summary:

The Advancement Associate, Annual Giving plays a crucial role in supporting the Annual Giving team at Marquette University. This position is responsible for providing administrative support, developing a culture of philanthropy, and working closely with teammates to achieve fundraising goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple marketing and outreach projects, ensuring timely completion and vendor payments.
  • Support solicitation and stewardship outreach through direct marketing efforts and individual fundraiser interactions.
  • Communicate with volunteers, donors, and other departments via phone and email, utilizing strong customer service skills.
  • Track donor interactions, maintain prospect plans, and prepare reports in Blackbaud CRM.
  • Assist with planning and execution of the university's annual Give Marquette Day.
  • Track expenditures and invoices, working closely with colleagues and finance to ensure timely submission.
  • Provide support with entering relevant data and interactions with donors in the database.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma required.
  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience.
  • Solid knowledge of grammar and strong written, verbal, and creative skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to problem solve.
  • Familiarity with a business environment and procedures.
  • Ability to work under deadlines and prioritize work.
  • Work efficiently in a team-oriented setting.
  • Complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Experience in Blackbaud CRM is preferred.
  • Event planning experience preferred.
