Job Summary

Parkland Health and Hospital System is seeking a skilled Neurodiagnostic Technologist to join our team. As a Neurodiagnostic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing routine and complex Neurodiagnostic procedures for patients, providing physicians with diagnostic tools to treat patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and complex Neurodiagnostic procedures for patients, including EEG and epilepsy testing.
  • Maintain electrodes, review and edit patient data to provide interpretable results, and complete all necessary paperwork.
  • Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with other employees, physicians, patients, and family members.
  • Stock supplies, prepare test areas, and maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure effective operations.
  • Follow established infection control guidelines to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; eligibility pathways and ENDT (Electroneurodiagnostic Technology) certification preferred.
  • Minimum one year of experience in a healthcare setting, with a focus on Neurodiagnostic procedures.
  • Current healthcare provider BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.
  • Ability to perform routine EEG procedures independently, distinguish EEG abnormalities, and respond appropriately.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively handle stressful situations and demonstrate patient-centered behaviors.
