Job Summary:

Colwen Hotels, a leading hospitality group, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for leading a team of housekeeping associates and ensuring that our guests receive the highest level of cleanliness and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tour and inspect rooms daily to ensure property cleanliness, safety, and security, as well as exceptional service throughout.
  • Provide support to the Executive Housekeeper and hotel leadership to drive guest satisfaction and improve operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with the housekeeping team to continuously improve guest satisfaction scores and maintain high standards of cleanliness and service.
  • Conduct self-audits to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance performance and cleanliness.
  • Verify the number of associates to the number of rooms and monitor productivity to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Assign specific responsibilities to associates and provide guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary tools and resources to succeed.
  • Identify vacant rooms to be cleaned first and check vacant ready rooms to verify their actual status.
  • Record performance checks as guests check out throughout the day and ensure that all rooms are cleaned and ready for the next guest.
  • Check rooms for arriving VIPs and ensure that they receive exceptional service and attention to detail.
  • Ensure that housekeeping associates have adequate supplies and that carts are neatly packed and organized.
  • Report unserviceable rooms to the General Manager or Executive Housekeeper and assist housekeeping associates in duties as needed.
  • Assist with cleaning of public spaces as needed and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Prior related work experience, preferably in a hotel environment.
  • Specific brand knowledge is a plus, but not required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills to drive results and improve guest satisfaction.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Proficient in English language, with bilingual skills a plus.
  • Ability to learn new computer software programs and operate the property management system.
  • Familiar with common computer software programs and willing to learn new systems.
  • Willingness to work a 7-day rotational schedule, including weekends and holidays.
