Job Description

Archdiocese of Philadelphia seeks a dedicated and experienced professional to serve as the Director of Adult Faith Formation. This role is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive adult faith formation programs, ensuring the spiritual growth and development of parishioners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute adult faith formation strategies aligned with the Archdiocese's vision and goals.
  • Collaborate with the pastoral staff, clergy, and volunteers to design and deliver engaging faith formation programs.
  • Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of adult faith formation programs, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise catechists, catechetical assistants, and volunteers to support faith formation initiatives.
  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Communicate effectively with the pastor, staff, and parishioners to promote adult faith formation programs and events.
  • Stay up-to-date with Archdiocesan guidelines, policies, and best practices in adult faith formation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Proven experience in adult faith formation, catechesis, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and individuals.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including database management, word processing, and parish data systems.
