Key Responsibilities- Perform administrative and clinical tasks in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Assist healthcare providers with patient exams, procedures, and treatments.
- Collect and record patient information, vital signs, and medical history.
- Prepare patients for exams and procedures, and maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed by healthcare providers.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Current BLS certification required.
- One year of Medical Assistant experience, including phlebotomy experience, preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
- Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Successful completion of an Accredited National Certification Exam for Certified Medical Assistants (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
- Ability to stand for long periods and move quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift and move patients and equipment as needed.
- Ability to work in a variety of environments, including clinical and administrative settings.
