About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in Magnolia, AR. As a Nursing Clinical Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the well-being of our community.

Job Summary

The RN position involves coordinating care, triaging patients, and collaborating with clinic providers, fellows, and staff to ensure the highest standards of patient care. You will be responsible for promoting wellness, improving outcomes, and self-care within a defined population. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive and compassionate care to patients of all ages, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the clinic visit.
  • Triage patients, assess their symptoms, and determine the appropriate level of care based on the urgency and severity of their condition.
  • Collaborate with clinic providers, fellows, and staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, ensuring that patients receive the appropriate level of care and follow-up.
  • Analyze complex and ongoing patient assessments and data to identify patient needs, develop appropriate nursing diagnoses, and prioritize multiple nursing diagnoses and collaborative medical problems into the plan of care (POC).
  • Educate patients, their families, and clinic staff about medical conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
  • Monitor patients' progress and adjust the plan of care as needed.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with an Associate's Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelor's in Nursing, or Master's in Nursing.
  • Minimum of one year of Nursing experience or two years LPN clinical experience.
  • Valid Arkansas Registered Nursing License.
  • BLS certification required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experienced RN with a minimum of three years of RN experience.
  • One year of clinic or ambulatory setting experience.
  • Charge nurse and/or leadership experience.
