Position Summary: The Quality Control Technician plays a crucial role within the Operations Team, focusing on quality assurance processes, inventory management, and auditing to ensure compliance with company standards and maintain product integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct testing of syrup and water to verify compliance with KORE specifications.
- Understand and implement mixing protocols and requirements.
- Manage inventory of raw materials in preparation for production.
- Evaluate sanitation processes and address any identified deficiencies.
- Prepare equipment for operation, which may involve manual handling of equipment and materials.
- Identify and resolve issues related to equipment functionality.
- Follow and comprehend standard operating procedures diligently.
- Perform product testing as mandated by KORE guidelines.
- Oversee the calibration program to ensure accuracy.
- Adhere to all regulatory standards, policies, and safety procedures.
- Maintain compliance with good manufacturing practices and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- Experience in the food or chemical industry is preferred.
- Forklift certification is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Familiarity with laboratory safety and hazardous material handling is essential.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a manufacturing setting, including standing for extended periods.
- Physical demands include lifting over 50 lbs and manual dexterity for operating machinery.
- Vision requirements include close vision and the ability to focus on tasks.
Work Environment:
- Moderate to high noise levels due to operational machinery.
- Potentially slippery surfaces in production areas.
- Heavy forklift traffic in warehouse settings.
