Medical Technologist II

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist II to join our team at HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital. As a Medical Technologist II, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and timely laboratory testing, ensuring the highest quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform complex laboratory testing, including stat procedures, and ensure timely completion of results
- Assume responsibility for the department in the absence of the supervisor, demonstrating leadership and problem-solving skills
- Complete accurate and detailed records/documentation, including patient results and quality control procedures
- Collaborate with colleagues to resolve outstanding workload and communicate effectively to ensure seamless operations
- Participate in quality control procedures, handle problem and/or critical laboratory specimens/test results, and demonstrate good judgment and independent thinking
- A 2-year/Associate Degree in Medical Technology or a related field is required; a 4-year/Bachelor's Degree is preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Technologist is preferred; a State of Florida Technologist License is required or the ability to obtain during the interview process
- Technologist License in one or more clinical specialty areas, including Generalist, Blood bank, Serology, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, is required
