**Key Responsibilities**

The digital landscape is evolving rapidly, and at the Ministry of Communications and Information, we play a pivotal role in shaping the Digital Economy and Digital Society for Singapore. Collaborating with various public sector entities, industry partners, and the community, we are dedicated to advancing our digital initiatives.

Within the Economic Regulation Division, our mission is to establish effective and forward-thinking policies and regulations that promote competition and ensure a fair marketplace for our businesses while protecting consumer interests. We strive to cultivate a globally competitive and inclusive infocomm media and postal sector in Singapore, alongside developing future-ready policies for these industries and emerging digital technologies. Our team works in close partnership with the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC), and other key stakeholders.

**This position encompasses the following duties:**

1. Develop and assess policy frameworks concerning digital and technological sectors, digital infrastructure, connectivity, personal data protection, and governance of Artificial Intelligence (AI);

2. Craft and implement strategies that enhance Singapore's position in the digital and technology arenas, considering economic, security, social, and international factors;

3. Identify and evaluate long-term trends impacting the infocomm media, postal sectors, and emerging digital and technology fields, and devise policy responses to safeguard Singapore's interests.

**Qualifications**

• Relevant experience in public policy or the infocomm media sector is preferred;

• Educational background in Engineering, IT, Media, Law, or Economics is advantageous;

• Exceptional writing and communication skills;

• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities;

• Proficient in stakeholder engagement and networking;

• Solid research and analytical skills;

• Effective project management capabilities;

• Ability to navigate ambiguity with ease;

• A keen interest in digital infrastructure, connectivity, and competition and consumer protection within the infocomm media and postal sectors.
