At UPS, we are passionate about delivering exceptional service to our customers while fostering a culture of innovation and teamwork. As a BaSE Mechanic, you will be an integral part of our team, working closely with colleagues to ensure the efficient operation of our package handling facilities.

Responsibilities and Duties

Some of your key responsibilities will include:
  • Troubleshooting and adjusting AC and DC electrical equipment, as well as mechanical components such as motors and conveyor belts.
  • Performing preventive maintenance inspections of plant equipment and reporting any issues or defects.
  • Welding equipment and parts as needed.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong electrical background and experience working with mechanical systems. You must also be able to pass an electrical assessment. As a permanent employee, you will be expected to work flexible hours, including 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift, in a 24 x 7 operation.

Compensation and Benefits

The starting pay for this position is $38.02 per hour, and after two years, you can expect to earn up to $40.37 per hour. In addition to competitive pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including 401(K), medical-dental, and vision coverage, paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays.
