Job Summary

The Bohemian Hotel Savannah Riverfront is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Steward to join our team. As a Steward, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen and dining areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the highest level of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to our hotel's standards and protocols.
  • Operate industrial dishwashing equipment, maintaining a high level of efficiency and productivity.
  • Assist in plating and hot boxing food, ensuring presentation and quality meet our hotel's standards.
  • Transport items from the Banquet Kitchen/Kitchen to designated spaces, maintaining a safe and efficient workflow.
  • Assist with banquet breakdowns, ensuring all stations are elevated and meet our hotel's standards.
  • Wash pots, pans, and trays, maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organization.
  • Maintain a clean and organized pantry and coolers, adhering to our hotel's standards and protocols.
  • Clean countertops and walls, mop floors, and segregate and remove trash and garbage, maintaining a safe and clean environment.
  • Sort bottles, plastics, and other recyclable items, adhering to our hotel's sustainability initiatives.
  • Stack clean dishes and transfer equipment to the proper storage area, maintaining a high level of organization and efficiency.
  • Maintain complete knowledge and comply with company policies and procedures, adhering to our hotel's standards and protocols.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance, adhering to our hotel's dress code and standards.
  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
  • Develop and maintain a positive working relationship and support the team to achieve our goals.
  • Attend required training and meetings, adhering to our hotel's training and development initiatives.
Requirements
  • High School Graduate or related training equivalent - required.
  • 1+ year of relevant work experience in similar scope and title preferred.
  • Experience within luxury brand/markets - preferred.
Work Environment
  • Must be comfortable working in a shared space, with constant noise, without the use of a private office.
  • Must be able to cope with frequent changing priorities and deadlines with a high degree of optimism, professionalism & collaboration.
  • Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of or less than 40 hours with or without notice.
Physical Demands
  • While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to see, hear, reach, use fingers to handle and feel, stand, stoop, bend and crouch up to 8 hours on a daily basis.
  • Push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to travel by foot, car, bus, airplane or other means of transportation which require sitting, waiting, and standing for long and short periods of time.
