Telecom Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecom Analyst to join our team at CompuCom, a leading IT managed services specialist. As a Telecom Analyst, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our clients' telecommunications systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Replace and install desktop and wall-mounted phones
• Provide cellular phone support, including setup, ordering, and management
• Attach wall mounting plates to hang phones
• Unpack and set up new handsets
• Maintain and repair telecommunications equipment, including phones and network infrastructure
• Set up accounts in RingCentral software
• Create Teams accounts to integrate soft phones on to desktops
• Complete site surveys to verify Jack placements, numbers, and wiring completion
• Log site survey information onto building maps and spreadsheets
• Uninstall old phones and collect them
• Respond to tickets to assist end users with phone integration configuration into Team

Requirements:

• Must have Helpdesk experience
• Knowledge of 166 punch down block
• Knowledge of patch panel
• MS Teams / Logi Tap Video conferencing knowledge is a plus
• Voice porting knowledge
• Basic understanding of DHCP
• Basic understanding of ethernet network
• Poly Phone support knowledge
• Poly and Jabra headset support knowledge
• Experience with RingCentral (will provide training if no experience available)
• Experience with Avaya is a plus
• Teams knowledge
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to train / explain use of voice on MS Team / Ring Central
• Comfortable working without assistance / alone
• Able to repeat tasks without needing assistance (setup user, move phone number, open service ticket with Ring)
• Strong communication skills
• Must have the ability to walk long distances throughout the day
• Travel between locations occasionally for support
