We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at BioLife Plasma Services. As a Plasma Center Nurse, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our donors while collecting high-quality plasma for life-changing medicines.
Key Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility to donate plasma, including proper management of informed consent, medical history interview, and physical examination.
- Manage donor adverse events and review laboratory test results.
- Notify donors of unsuitable test results and refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs as needed.
- Support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER.
- High school diploma or equivalent, including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
- Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: LPN or LVN.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
- Fulfill state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapy.
- Satisfactorily complete the FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
