Oncology Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Oncology RN to join our team at ProHealth Care. As a member of our Medical Oncology team, you will play a vital role in delivering state-of-the-art cancer care to our patients.

The Collaborative Care Nurse (CCN) is a key member of our Medical Oncology team, working closely with providers in both the clinic and infusion center. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Providing ongoing care to oncology/hematology patients
• Assessing education needs and providing teaching and counseling to patients and their families
• Anticipating and recognizing changes in patient status and need for care
• Determining priorities of patient care based on patient needs
• Providing ongoing assessment of patient response to treatment and interventions
• Communicating with provider team to confirm, correlate, and update patient plan of care
• Providing telephone consultation/triage and care coordination to patients and families
• Maintaining and updating accurate clinical and patient records according to departmental policies and state, federal guidelines
• Taking ownership of one's professional development in oncology
• Continually striving to advance knowledge, including Oncology Nursing Certification

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which you practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Provider Card/Certificate (preferred upon hire)
• OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) after 2 years of employment
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required, BSN Preferred
• Two (2) years of experience in a clinical setting that includes experiences in specialty
