Job Summary:

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA to join our team at Greenbriar at the Altamont. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents. Responsibilities:

* Provide routine daily nursing care and services to residents, including activities of daily living such as bathing, eating, grooming, toileting, and obtaining vital signs
* Assist with medication administration and documentation as directed
* Support residents with preparing for medical testing, activities programs, and visitation
* Maintain residents' living areas clean and neat, and change linens as directed
* Greet newly admitted residents and escort them to their rooms
* Report changes in residents' conditions to the charge nurse immediately
* Check residents regularly to ensure their personal care needs are being met
* Assist with transporting residents to/from appointments, activities, and social programs
* Assist with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting residents as needed
* Obtain and record residents' blood sugar levels using the Free Style Glucose Monitoring machine
* Utilize the Smart Charting IPAC to record ADLs and meals
* Complete incident reports in a timely manner

Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent preferred
* Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA or obtain certification within 4 months of hire
* Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

* Must be able to move consistently throughout the workday
* Must be able to reach, bend, and/or stoop intermittently throughout the workday
* Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics to ensure the requirements of this position can be fully met
* Must be able to push, pull, or move a minimum of 100 pounds using proper body mechanics and assistance
* Must be able to walk/stand 75% of the day
* Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position
