Compensation: $90-110k/year, commensurate with experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently perform duties in accordance with CLIA/CAP regulations.
  • Maintain effective communication with supervisors and team members regarding daily activities and ongoing projects.
  • Conduct a variety of laboratory tests on patient samples, adhering to established protocols and procedures within specified turnaround times.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment/instruments, ensuring they are in good working order and ready for use.
  • Analyze test results accurately and efficiently, ensuring the reliability and accuracy of laboratory data.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise during testing procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and quality control guidelines, maintaining a clean and organized laboratory environment.
  • Develop or update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in accordance with CAP guidelines.
  • Collaborate with and train laboratory technicians as needed.
  • Perform additional testing and projects as required by the company.

Requirements and Experience:

  • Strong experience with molecular testing and next-generation sequencing.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a clinical laboratory setting or related field.
  • Active California State license as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Generalist) is required.
