The FPAC On-Call Staff plays a critical role in providing exceptional customer service and support to patrons and staff at the Fine & Performing Arts Center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out ticket sales and other transactions, serving as a point of reference for inquiries, and ensuring a positive experience for all who interact with us.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to patrons and staff, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Carry out ticket sales and other transactions, accurately processing payments and handling cash, credit card, and other forms of payment.
- Serve as a point of reference for patrons and staff, providing information and assistance as needed.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a positive and efficient experience for all.
- Perform basic accounting tasks associated with box office operations, including reconciliations and reporting.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety and security protocols.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent general education degree (GED) required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel, etc.) and ability to learn new software quickly.
- Excellent interpersonal, supervisory, and communication skills.
- 2+ years of strong customer service skills, with a proven track record of providing exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.
- Motivated, self-directed, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform basic accounting tasks and maintain accurate records.
- Ability to lift at least 20 lbs and move quickly, including stairs.
Working Conditions:
This is a part-time, temporary position with variable hours, including evenings and weekends. The successful candidate will be required to work a flexible schedule, including on-call shifts, to meet the needs of the Fine & Performing Arts Center.
