Job Title: Software Developer

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Candidates must have an active Secret clearance and verify, before applying, that you meet the minimum requirements of the position.

JANUS Research Group is seeking a skilled Software Developer to support the NAWCAD WOLF IC2&IS division in performing tasks related to Distance Learning and Knowledge Management technologies and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and direct a team providing operations and maintenance support to deployed software suites.
  • Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs.
  • Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
  • Update software or enhance existing software capabilities.
  • Collaborate with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and develop specifications and performance requirements.
  • Maintain databases within an application area while working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
  • Responsible for researching, testing, building, and integrating new products or major enhancements.
Required Education and Experience:
  • BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution.
  • At least seven years of experience, with at least two years in developing systems code using C++, C#, Java, and JavaScript.
  • At least five years of experience in developing software on agile development projects consisting of at least two teams of five team members.
  • At least five years of experience related to leading software efforts of similar size to those identified in the TO.
