Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Paraprofessional to join our team at the Dayton Area School Consortium. As a Paraprofessional, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special needs, providing instruction, and assisting with daily activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist students with special needs in one-on-one or small group settings, providing instruction and support as needed.
  • Assist classroom teachers with activities, projects, and lesson planning.
  • Supervise students during recess, playground, and other activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Participate in team meetings and multi-factored evaluations to support student success.
  • Perform delegated nursing duties as directed by a Registered Nurse.
  • Assist with the lifting, moving, and physical management of students, as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Ohio driver's license.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
  • Ability to physically manage students with disabilities.
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds unassisted.
  • Ability to maneuver stairs unassisted.
  • Pass criminal background check.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. The Paraprofessional must be able to maintain a positive and professional demeanor, even in challenging situations.
