Overview of the Role:
The Senior Audit Supervisor is accountable for overseeing client engagements and projects, ensuring the delivery of exceptional service. This role involves mentoring, guiding, and assisting team members in achieving both client and personal development goals. Supervisors lead fieldwork on financial audits and accounting projects, while also tracking the progress of engagements against budgets and deadlines.
Additionally, they are responsible for maintaining client relationships within their specialization and for the clients assigned to them.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand performance benchmarks and lead teams to achieve these standards.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of the firm’s structure, personnel, services, and clientele.
- Strive to surpass effective utilization rates and monitor assignment teams' progress towards these goals.
- Be aware of client objectives and proposal initiatives across the organization, contributing to the sales and proposal processes.
- Utilize resources effectively to maximize profitability.
- Engage actively in recruitment initiatives, including participating in career fairs, conducting interviews, and interacting with potential candidates.
- Ensure regular and dependable attendance, fulfilling the necessary hours to meet client demands during peak periods.
- Plan, organize, and manage multiple responsibilities and resources to achieve assignment goals.
- Provide direction to teams to ensure quality standards are upheld.
- Oversee assignment budgets, anticipate and communicate budgetary concerns, identify opportunities for enhancing assignment profitability, prepare invoices, and assist in cash collection efforts.
- Achieve a target of 1,650 chargeable hours.
- Enhance realization rates in client engagements.
- Engage in business development activities.
- Participate in initiatives aimed at team development.
- Effectively plan and manage projects, agreeing on timelines for deliverables and ensuring quality outcomes within budget constraints.
- Develop a thorough understanding of tools, systems, and processes relevant to their discipline and apply this knowledge effectively.
- Anticipate potential challenges and assist in formulating strategies to address them.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- CPA certification is mandatory.
- A minimum of five years of progressive audit experience in public accounting or a related field.
- Ability to identify key stakeholders in decision-making processes and cultivate working relationships.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills, ensuring clients receive the necessary information to make informed decisions.
- Excellent presentation capabilities.
- Proactively seek opportunities to offer additional services to clients.
- Actively engage in recruitment initiatives, including participating in career fairs, conducting interviews, and mentoring potential candidates.
