Cedarhurst Senior Living is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Aide to join our team. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct resident care services, including medication distribution and administration, in accordance with individualized care plans.
  • Conduct resident evaluations and assessments as required by state regulations and facility policy.
  • Monitor residents for changes in condition and report any concerns to supervisors and/or the Executive Director.
  • Assist with completing and maintaining current individualized care plans for each resident.
  • Provide timely interventions to address changes in resident condition and share information with care staff and family as instructed.
  • Check and record vital signs, weights, and blood sugars as assigned.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, showering, oral care, toileting, dressing, and ambulation.
  • Participate in the oversight and management of the medication delivery system, including timely order entry, receipt, and tracking, as well as daily MAR documentation and narcotic count.
  • Provide glucose monitoring and administration of insulin (for CMTs and insulin-certified CMAs/L1MA only).
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED and current state certification for the corresponding role.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification is required.
  • At least one year of related work experience, preferably in senior care, and a general knowledge of laws and restrictions regarding Assisted Living care.
  • Ability to work well with others, take direction from management, and take initiative to ensure resident needs are met.
  • Must remain flexible and be able to work weekends as necessary.
