Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Preoperative team at Emory University Hospital Midtown. As a Preoperative Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth transition of patients from admission to surgery. Your expertise and attention to detail will make a significant difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans to address the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure that all necessary preparations are in place for a successful surgical outcome.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote understanding and preparedness for the surgical experience.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve patient care and safety.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment by promoting open communication, respect, and empathy among colleagues.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current Georgia RN license.
  • Minimum of 12 months of recent nursing experience within the past five years or recent completion of a re-entry nursing program.
  • BLS certification required; ACLS may be required in designated departments.
