Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Preoperative team at Emory University Hospital Midtown. As a Preoperative Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth transition of patients from admission to surgery. Your expertise and attention to detail will make a significant difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans to address the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure that all necessary preparations are in place for a successful surgical outcome.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote understanding and preparedness for the surgical experience.
- Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve patient care and safety.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment by promoting open communication, respect, and empathy among colleagues.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current Georgia RN license.
- Minimum of 12 months of recent nursing experience within the past five years or recent completion of a re-entry nursing program.
- BLS certification required; ACLS may be required in designated departments.
