Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily operations of the foodservice department, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Provide leadership, support, and guidance to ensure that food quality standards, food safety guidelines, and customer service expectations are met.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure that staff are knowledgeable about food safety, handling, and preparation.
  • Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that food meets quality and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations and high-quality service.
  • Stay up-to-date with local, state, and federal regulations and ensure compliance.

Requirements
  • Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of experience managing the food and nutrition services department in acute care, long-term care, or hospitality industry.
  • Valid Certified Dietary Manager (CDM/CFPP) certification.
  • Minimum education: Graduate of an approved ANFP dietary training program, associate degree in food service management, food and nutrition, nutrition and dietetics technician degree, culinary arts degree, or related field.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English to communicate effectively with others.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and days.
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to maintain records and complete reports as required, including web-based reporting.
  • Knowledge of purchasing, food handling, preparation, service, and operation of all kitchen equipment.
  • Strong background in safety and sanitation compliance.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations as applicable.
  • Must be local to Tucson, AZ and surrounding areas.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Five (5) or more years food and nutrition services management experience in healthcare and/or senior living environment.
  • Current ServSafe certification.
