Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Associate to join our team at Gordon Food Service. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, building strong relationships with our customers, and driving sales growth in your assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide assistance to customers throughout the region, supporting the facilitation of order and delivery interaction between foodservice customers and Gordon Food Service.
  • Sales Growth: Assist the Customer Development Specialist (CDS) with providing business-consulting services to strengthen customer relationships and grow profitable sales.
  • Route Coverage: Travel through your assigned route to provide coverage for all Customer Development Specialists (CDS) as appropriate.
  • Account Management: Service existing accounts as assigned, gaining understanding of broker relationships to assist in key customer assignments.
  • Marketing Support: Assist with the delivery of appropriate marketing materials and participate in customer events and segment shows.
  • Product Knowledge: Gain expertise in the area of sales consultation to ensure sales process development and demonstrate products and discuss applications with customers.
  • Order Verification: Verify orders with customers, including receiving information, discussing orders and credits with customers, and observing management of accounts receivables.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate with CDS on business reviews, negotiating, understanding and use of market research, and contribute to region team efforts.
