Job Title: Professional Counselor - Multidisciplinary Support Specialist

Job Summary:

The Professional Counselor - Multidisciplinary Support Specialist is a key member of the Her Song team, providing critical support and resources to survivors of human trafficking. Under the direction of the Residential Manager, this role is responsible for facilitating survivor care through needs assessments, goal setting, and service linkage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive intakes, assessments, screenings, and histories to establish a baseline of mental health care for all residential clients.
  • Develop and manage treatment plans for each client, ensuring a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach.
  • Provide regular counseling sessions, crisis intervention, and de-escalation as needed, while assisting clients in cultivating and utilizing their strengths and resilience.
  • Lead trainings on a weekly basis with clients and staff, focusing on trauma-informed practices and empowerment.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation for the residential program, ensuring 24/7 support for clients.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in counseling or social work from an accredited institution.
  • Holds or working towards an LPC license and a minimum of 2 years of experience in individual and group counseling with traumatized individuals.
  • Proven skills in leading effective counseling groups and staff training, with a strong focus on trauma-responsive programming.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
