Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare silver, room service trays, coffee, and other items at the start of and throughout the shift, as required.
  • Preset trays and carts as needed throughout the shift. Prepare each tray for specific order requirements.
  • Check all Room Service Orders for accuracy and completeness prior to departing the kitchen.
  • Deliver Room Service Orders to guest rooms in a timely manner.
  • Set up and serve orders in guest rooms, according to guest preference and Loews Hotels standards, in a polite and professional manner.
  • Obtain proper charge authorization or payment for orders delivered.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and legibly.
  • Pick up soiled Room Service trays and carts from guest rooms and corridors as needed.
  • Clean and maintain the Room Service area and equipment.
  • Deliver amenities to guest rooms.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Inventory guest room Refreshment Pantries to determine consumption by guest.
  • Prepare Refreshment Pantry charge tickets and forward to the appropriate cashier for billing to the guest account.
  • Replenish Refreshment Pantry items consumed.
  • Inspect Refreshment Pantry contents and maintain freshness of product.
  • Clean and maintain the refreshment pantry appearance to established standards.
  • Remove consumed amenity items and/or Room Service trays from guest rooms.
  • Complete DND/No Service, inventory, and in-house guest list paperwork and reports.
  • Communicate discrepancies regarding Refreshment Pantry usage to the Captain.
  • Restock and rotate Refreshment Pantry attendant cart supplies.
Guest Valet Responsibilities
  • Retrieve orders for processing of guest valet from guest rooms according to hotel policy.
  • Verify accuracy and completeness of information on valet tickets received from guests.
  • Complete necessary log entries to record receipt of guest valet orders.
  • Sort, separate, and tag guest valet articles for processing by laundry/dry cleaner.
  • Organize cleaned and processed guest valet orders for return to guests.
  • Inspect and verify completeness of valet orders being returned to guests.
  • Return completed valet orders to guest rooms according to established hotel procedure.
  • Complete required log entries to document return of guest valet orders to rooms.
  • File valet reports appropriately for documentation and review as necessary.
General Responsibilities
  • Complete required setup/preparation at the beginning of the shift.
  • Inspect all equipment prior to and at the end of the shift, reporting any needed repairs to the supervisor.
  • Inventory supplies at the beginning of the shift, obtaining supplies necessary to support forecasted levels of business.
  • Perform delivery, placement, and any required setup of amenities and/or equipment requested by guests.
  • Complete assigned closing duties at the end of the shift.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • One plus years of experience as a Food Service/Room Service Attendant in a quality food service/hotel operation.
  • Thorough knowledge of quality food service techniques and standards.
  • Exceptional guest service attitude and abilities.
  • Ability to lift and carry food service trays weighing 35+ pounds.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
