VDC Detailer

We are seeking a highly skilled VDC Detailer to join our dynamic team at Catapult Staffing. As a VDC Detailer, you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality fabrication spool drawings, detailed rack drawings, CAD as-builts, and CAD files for our CNC machine.

• Create files in BobCad for the CNC machines
• Create underground spacers for underground conduit packages
• As-built drawings from project teams
• Create cut lists for steel products
• Design rack drawings
• Be involved in project builds
• Attend meetings with PreFab group and project teams
• Produce fabrication spool drawings
• Utilize BIM software to model electrical systems
• Reading job specifications and drawings

• Excellent communication skills and work attitude
• Team player, relates well with employees and superiors
• Must be detail oriented
• Must have good organization skills and time management skills
• Be able to put in the time and effort necessary
• Should be open-minded and decisive with problem solving skills
• Ability to perform well and meet expectations in a fast-paced environment
• Self-driven with desire to learn
• Knowledge of AutoCAD
• Familiarity with Excel, Word, and Google platforms
• Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Navisworks or any other BIM software (preferred)
