Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to manage and direct the day-to-day activities of our landfill operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of waste disposal, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and leading a team of employees to achieve our environmental and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and direct the day-to-day activities of landfill operations, including waste disposal, leachate collection, and storage.
  • Ensure compliance with EPA, State agencies, RCRA, TSCA, and DOT Regulations.
  • Prepare annual budgets for each department and maintain cost controls.
  • Develop and implement programs to ensure proper waste sampling, treating, and disposal.
  • Monitor and take corrective action when necessary for proper management of leachate collection, storage, and disposal.
  • Develop personnel and equipment requirements for new or improved operating processes.
  • Ensure personnel are properly trained on health and safety matters, as well as proper procedures for waste treatment, tracking, and disposal.
  • Monitor for compliance with Corporate and Facility safety and compliance regulations and take corrective action when needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (accredited) or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four years of relevant work experience.
  • Current valid Driver's License.
  • DOT Hazmat Incident Commander certification.
  • RCRA and HAZWOPER training.
  • Other certifications and training as required by law.
