We are looking for a Lead Clinical Laboratory Specialist (MLT) OR Medical Technologist (MT) - Hematology to:

  • Conduct moderate and/or high complexity testing in the clinical laboratory.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, clinic personnel, and colleagues.
  • Handle advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and resolution of issues.
  • Exhibit strong decision-making capabilities, work autonomously, and take on teaching and training responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

Education:

Minimum - Associate degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology, or equivalent education and training including 60 semester hours with:

24 semester hours in medical laboratory technology courses OR

24 semester hours in science courses.

Preferred - Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology, including at least 60 semester hours with:

24 semester hours in medical laboratory technology courses OR

24 semester hours - 6 in chemistry, 6 in biology, and 12 in any combination of chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology.

Work Experience:

Minimum -

Senior Medical Laboratory Technician - One (1) year of experience in moderate and some high complexity testing in a clinical laboratory with successful competency assessment; or Two (2) years in a clinical laboratory.

Medical Technologist - No minimum work experience required.
