Job Summary:

The Terminal Rail Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of Plastic Express Inc.'s rail terminal logistics. This position will be responsible for coordinating the receipt and release of railcars, managing inventory, and providing exceptional customer service to Fortune 500 companies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the receipt and release of railcars, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Manage inventory levels, including tracking and auditing railcar inventory for accuracy and discrepancies.
  • Provide prompt feedback to Rail Operations, Bulk Trucking, Warehouse, and other departmental groups.
  • Act as a liaison between the Customer Success Department, Rail Operations, and other departments.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • At least 21 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in a customer service related field, preferably in the transportation industry.
  • Knowledge of Bulk Trucking, Rail & Warehouse industries a plus.
  • Type 40wpm+ with 100% accuracy.
  • Railcar experience is a plus.
Physical Demands:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Close visual confirmation of finely printed documents and distance vision to safely and correctly identify objects and or markings.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Licenses/Certificates:
  • None.
Skills:
  • Proven interpersonal skills; relationship development and management.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to recognize onsite risk factors and take appropriate action.

Additional Job Details:

This is a full-time, exempt position. Days and hours of work are normally 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. Hours may be adjusted as needed to meet the needs of the customers and employee's demand.
