Job Summary:

The Cardiac Catheterization Technologist provides technical support and patient care before, during and after invasive diagnostic/interventional procedures at Bothwell Regional Health Center. This role involves scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring hemodynamics. The Cardiac Catheterization Technologist reports directly to the Cardiac Cath Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians in performing invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures while maintaining sterility of the operative site and supplies.
  • Operate Cath Lab imaging and patient monitoring systems before, during and after procedures, as well as the Radiology Information System as it relates to Cath Lab/Special Procedures.
  • Communicate patient examination information, patient conditions, schedule, and equipment to relevant individuals, including patient and family education. Ensure patient, peer, and personal safety.
  • Maintain professional communication and relationships with hospital personnel, physicians, patients, and families.
  • Implement quality control programs for patient monitoring and emergency equipment, contributing positively to the department's financial performance.

Requirements:

Education and Certification:
a.) Graduate from an accredited school of radiology.
Licensure/Certification
a.) Certified in Basic Life Support
Work Experience
a.) One year experience in an invasive Cardiac/Vascular lab preferred.
