Description: The Financial Operations Manager for North America Retail will oversee the financial reporting framework for Retail Channel divisions. This role entails managing financial accounting personnel, partnering with the Corporate Controller's team, analyzing financial documents, and performing variance analysis to fulfill the requirements of essential business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the financial reporting framework, which includes:
  1. Timely reporting and consolidation of monthly outcomes in accordance with US GAAP standards
  2. Ensuring uniform account mapping across various business units
  3. Overseeing additional reporting mandated by the Corporate Controller's team
  4. Conducting month-end balance sheet evaluations and account reconciliations for the North America Retail sector
  5. Confirming prompt reconciliation of intercompany balances
  6. Preparing and disseminating monthly management reports and financial documents
  7. Ensuring accruals are in line with corporate policy
  • Assist in cash management, financial forecasting, and annual budgeting processes
  • Establish standardized accounting policies and procedures for North America Retail divisions
  • Review existing accounting policies for potential improvements
  • Provide necessary data for quarterly assessments and annual audits
  • Collaborate with the Finance Director to strengthen the finance organization and implement system solutions
  • Participate in special initiatives
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with over 7 years of progressive accounting experience in retail consumer packaged goods or manufacturing
  • Experience in the Consumer Products sector, particularly during periods of growth
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, with strong skills in MS Excel
  • Familiarity with ERP systems
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to collaborate across functions
  • Adaptability in dynamic environments
  • Preferred: Experience with SAP and HFM
