Job Summary:

The Community Action Planning Council of Jefferson County is seeking a highly skilled Master Teacher II to join our team. As a Master Teacher II, you will play a vital role in providing a healthy, safe, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for 4-year-old preschool children.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced early childhood educator who can work collaboratively with our team to deliver high-quality programming for our Pre-K students. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of child development and be able to create engaging lesson plans that promote learning and growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for Pre-K students
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of programming
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices in early childhood education

Requirements:

  • NYS Certification in Birth-2 or Special Education; or a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education with a 5-year plan to obtain certification
  • Previous experience working with preschool children in an early childhood education setting
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
