We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Nurse Specialist to join our team at United Surgical Partners. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in the pre-operative and post-anesthesia care units.
Responsibilities- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current Florida Nursing License
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Pre-Op/PACU with a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient management
- Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics with changing medical priorities
- Excellent teaching, communication, and organizational skills
- Demonstrate strong professional and ethical behavior, teamwork, and customer service skills
- Possess basic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideology
- Previous experience working in an ambulatory surgical setting is preferred
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, patient management, and aseptic technique
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing patient conditions and prioritize tasks effectively
