Job Title: Custodian Supervisor
Job Summary:
The City of Los Angeles, CA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Custodian Supervisor to join our team. As a Custodian Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the work of custodial staff, ensuring that all facilities are clean and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the work of custodial staff to ensure that all facilities are clean and well-maintained.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure that all areas are cleaned to a high standard.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure that all facilities are clean and well-maintained.
- Provide training and guidance to custodial staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Monitor and control inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure that they are adequate to meet the needs of the facilities.
- Develop and implement procedures for reporting and resolving maintenance issues.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all facilities are maintained to a high standard.
Requirements:
- 2 years of full-time paid experience as a Senior Custodian with the City of Los Angeles.
- Or 4 years of full-time paid custodial experience with the City of Los Angeles at the level of Custodian, with 2 years of experience as a lead or supervisor of a crew engaged in custodial work.
- Or 4 years of full-time paid custodial experience with the City of Los Angeles at the level of Custodian, with 2 years of experience performing administrative work, including assigning work and preparing work reports and schedules, maintaining inventory and requesting cleaning supplies and materials, inspecting maintenance of buildings and premises, or relieving supervisor during absences.
- Or 4 years of full-time paid custodial experience, with 2 years of experience performing floor care maintenance activities and 2 years of experience supervising custodial employees.
