Position Summary:
Under the guidance of a laboratory technologist or supervisor, the Clinical Laboratory Technician is responsible for executing specific procedures on blood and other biological specimens. This role involves both manual techniques and the utilization of laboratory instruments and information systems. Phlebotomy may be performed as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct sample and specimen processing with precision.
- Focus on technical processing and accurate data entry.
Qualifications:
Completion of an Associate Degree Program in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science is mandatory. Candidates must possess effective communication skills and demonstrate technical proficiency along with theoretical knowledge to perform laboratory tasks.
Certifications:
Certification from a recognized national certifying agency (ASCP or NCA) is required.

Additional Information:
We are looking to fill 2 positions (1 for midnight shift; 1 for afternoon shift). This is a 9-week contract role.
Experience with Software:
Familiarity with programs such as EPIC, SunQuest, and Atlas is advantageous.
Alternative Qualifications:
Alternatively, candidates may qualify by successfully completing an associate or bachelor's degree that includes at least five college courses from the following areas: Anatomy, Biology, Chemistry (inorganic or organic), Physics, Nursing, Statistics, Physiology, Microscopic Anatomy (Histology), Biochemistry, Hematology, Immunohematology (Blood Banking), Microbiology, Urinalysis, Coagulation.
