Overview:

  • We are looking for an Engineer with 2-5 years of experience who will be tasked with providing support for Engineering Services and EPC project management for high voltage substation foundation and structural design.
  • The Engineer will play a crucial role in developing processes, standards, and custom designs for foundations and steel structures across all EPC and Engineering Services projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess equipment specifications and data sheets related to foundation and steel design.
  • Conduct technical evaluations of vendor proposals for major equipment concerning foundation and steel design.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of various substation designs to align with physical design standards.
  • Establish design standards for diverse structures and foundations.
  • Create steel and foundation design standards for the company's standard designs.
  • Enhance engineering expertise to analyze GeoTech Reports and Soil Reports.
  • Assist in pre-bid meetings and documentation by reviewing GeoTech Reports.
  • Incorporate GeoTech Report data into engineering and design workflows.
  • Develop and maintain a system for assessing design quality control and metrics for the long-term management of the design group (internal or external).
  • Ensure proper documentation for project drawings and other related project materials.
  • Produce detailed steel and foundation drawings with accurate bills of material.
  • Examine steel and foundation detail drawings for design precision and quality assurance.
  • Acquire skills to draft technical documentation for steel and foundation calculations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, STAAD, PLS-Pole, and other design software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • EIT or PE License

Compensation:

  • $33.65 – 45.67/hr, based on experience
