  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure accurate checkout totals, handling cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision and attention to detail.
  • Maintain a clean and safe shopping environment, adhering to company safety procedures and protocols.
  • Unload trucks and place delivered items in designated areas, ensuring efficient stockroom operations.
  • Stay up-to-date on tender policies and procedures, including checks, credit, debit, coupons, EBT, WIC, and AML.
  • Assist customers with locating and selecting products, providing recommendations and solutions to meet their needs.
  • Notify store management of efficient process improvement opportunities, contributing to the continuous improvement of our operations.
Requirements
  • Basic knowledge of cash registers and point-of-sale systems.
  • Ability to count and calculate for the purpose of cash handling and sales transactions.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to safely operate manual or electric pallet jacks (for partners at least 18 years of age).
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Education and Certifications
  • Typically involves on-the-job training.
  • Minimum of 18 years of age required (for partners operating select machinery).
  • TABC/LACT certification required.
  • Food Handler certification required.
  • Fuel Operator C certification required.
Work Environment
  • Work is generally performed in a retail store environment.
  • Occasionally exposed to extreme cold and heat conditions.
  • Occasionally exposed to wet, slippery, or damp conditions.
  • Occasionally exposed to outside temperatures and weather.
