Job Summary:

This position is responsible for leading a team of skilled trade personnel in the fabrication, assembly, and testing processes for new ship construction. The General Foreman will be responsible for attaining Safety, Quality, Schedule, and Cost objectives, ensuring positive and predictable results.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and develop a crew of approximately 20 skilled trade personnel
Ensure adherence to contract specifications and quality standards
Manage and monitor work assignments, progress, and performance
Identify and address obstacles affecting performance
Enter labor charges into payroll system daily
Manage Work Orders and report progress to Planning
Monitor and report performance metrics to Area Manager/Directors

Requirements:

Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to evaluate skill sets and define training needs
Experience with LEAN Manufacturing and 5S Principles
Knowledge of company policies and work rules
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
