Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Pipefitter Journeyman to join our team at NSC Technologies, LLC. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex marine piping systems and contribute to major ship repair and modernization projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Layout, fabrication, installation, repair, and testing of marine piping systems.
  • Use equipment such as table saws, pipe threading machines, bending machines, drill presses, and brazing equipment.
  • Perform blanking and pressure testing of tanks.
  • Interpret and follow instructions, drawings, and work item specifications.
  • Provide direction and guidance to helpers and improvers as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5-10 years of experience in pipefitting, with at least 6 years of experience in maritime pipefitting.
  • Strong knowledge of P-73 joint fit-up and Silver Brazing theory.
  • Ability to certify in MT Braze (B-1) and MT Braze (B-2).
  • Thorough understanding of marine pipe fabrication, repair processes, and targeting.
  • Capable of interpreting drawings, specifications, and Navy/MSC/ABS standard items and manuals.
  • Proficiency in basic math and familiarity with U.S. customary and metric measurement systems.
  • Physically and medically capable of wearing all required PPE.

Work Environment:

You will work in shipyards, aboard vessels, or industrial settings, performing pipefitting tasks on complex marine systems. The role demands precision, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
