SkillBridge Rotor Pilot Opportunity

Global Medical Response (GMR) is proud to offer a unique opportunity for active-duty U.S. military service members to gain valuable civilian work experience in the medical response industry through the DOD SkillBridge program.

Program Overview

The SkillBridge program is a 90-day training and internship program that allows military service members to gain hands-on experience in the medical response industry. During this time, participants will work alongside experienced professionals and develop valuable skills and knowledge.

Job Summary

As a Rotorcraft Pilot, you will be responsible for ensuring all operations involving Company aircraft are in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, REACH Air Medical Services EMS Operations Manual, and all state and municipal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate the aircraft in a safe and efficient manner, with emphasis on compliance with the Rotorcraft Flight Manual
  • Monitor forecast changes and current weather situations
  • Conduct preflight of the aircraft prior to starting shift and/or accepting transports or flights
  • Report to his/her shift rested and prepared for duty and stays current of weather and forecast changes
Qualifications

To be eligible for this opportunity, you must meet the following qualifications:

  • Current Active-Duty Service Member
  • Meets DoD SkillBridge Qualifications
  • Available to participate for 90-days
  • Obtain signed approval from your unit commander (04 or above) and agree that participation in SkillBridge can be terminated at any time by the Service if mission requirements dictate
Benefits

Upon successful completion of the SkillBridge program, participants may be eligible for immediate consideration for current open positions at GMR. Additionally, participants who are hired after completing the program may be eligible for a starting base salary of $83,640 to $92,004, depending on experience, as well as a 5% to 40% geographic modifier for assigned base, depending on location.
