The Villages Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
Responsibilities:- Provide personal care to residents, including grooming, bathing, dressing, and oral care.
- Assist with ambulation and transfer of residents, using appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
- Record resident vital signs, weights, and measurements, as well as intake and output, food consumption, and other information as assigned.
- Turn and position residents as necessary, and observe them carefully, reporting any changes in condition to the Charge Nurse.
- Participate in collecting data needed for the accurate completion of the MDS and the plan of care, and provide input to the nurses for development of the plan of care.
- Prepare residents for meals and transport them to the dining room, ensuring that food trays are accessible and self-help devices are available as needed.
- Keep accurate records of food intake and output, as directed.
- Be alert for proper ventilation, temperature, light, and noise control.
- Take TPR (temperature, pulse, and rate), blood pressure, weighing of residents, etc., as directed.
- Promptly answer call lights and assist with other resident needs.
- Assist in the orientation and training of other staff, as requested.
- Current Nursing Assistant certification from the state of Florida.
- Current/active CPR certification, preferred.
- At least one year of Skilled Nursing experience, preferred.
- Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
- Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives.
- Customer service-oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
