Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Watercrest Senior Living. As a key member of our Resident Care team, you will provide high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct and indirect care to residents, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and assisting with daily living activities.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans, working closely with the Resident Wellness Director/Director of Nursing.
  • Assist with medication management, including ordering, administration, storage, and documentation.
  • Ensure resident rooms and common areas are clean and safe, maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organization.
  • Assist residents with self-medication or administration of medications, as needed.
  • Implement plans of care recommended by the Resident Wellness Director/Director of Nursing, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of all care provided.
  • Assemble and maintain resident charting, accurately maintaining all records.
  • Complete accident and incident reports as required, maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents and staff.
  • Maintain relationships with residents, family members, and responsible parties, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Be prepared for and manage emergency situations, including disasters, fires, and other emergencies.
  • Ensure adequate and appropriately trained resident care specialists are available for each shift, adhering to company and state guidelines.
Requirements
  • LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) or RN (Registered Nurse) license.
  • Minimum one year of experience in the senior living, Assisted Living, Memory Care environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, team members, residents, family members, vendors, referral sources, and outside contacts.
  • Able to make independent decisions, work under stress, and in emergency situations.
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices, with a passion to work with and around senior citizens.
Working Conditions
  • Work in all areas of the community, subject to reactions from dust, disinfectants, and cleaning chemicals, and may be exposed to infectious waste, diseases, and other conditions.
  • Use personal protective equipment and supplies when needed to prevent burns, falls, and infection.
  • Subject to infectious diseases, substances, and odors, following Safety Policy & Procedures.
