About the Role

As a Maintenance Technician at Barkan Management Company, you will play a vital part in ensuring the physical plant of our residential communities is well-maintained. This role involves performing various maintenance tasks, including painting, electrical work, plumbing, flooring, general carpentry, HVAC issues, window/glass repair, door/lock repair, and minor repairs in common areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform assigned maintenance tasks to maintain the physical condition and appearance of our properties
  • Work under the direction of the Property Manager to complete tasks efficiently and effectively
  • Inspect grounds, buildings, and other community features to identify and address any issues
  • Complete special projects and tasks as assigned by Facilities Manager or Property Manager
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, vendors, and staff
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in community building maintenance or related trade
  • Hands-on repair and maintenance work constitutes majority of time and duties
  • Ability to move up to 50 pounds variable distances; mobility and flexibility to use ladders to heights in excess of 8 feet
  • Basic computer and Internet abilities
  • Excellent communication skills, organized, strong customer service skills, detail oriented, and efficient
