About the Role

As a Lead Clerk at WinCo Foods, you will play a vital role in ensuring exceptional customer service and a seamless shopping experience for our valued customers. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering top-notch service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide friendly, courteous service to internal and external customers, addressing their queries and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Leadership: Lead by example, demonstrating excellent customer service skills and providing guidance and support to colleagues in the grocery department.
  • Operations: Assist management with store operations, including monitoring customer traffic flow, ensuring adequate coverage of checkout lanes, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Training and Development: Assist in training new employees, providing guidance on customer service best practices, and promoting a culture of excellence within the team.
  • Problem-Solving: Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner, escalating issues to management as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a retail or grocery environment
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service
Working Conditions

This role requires standing for long periods, walking, and moving rapidly, as well as bending, stooping, twisting, and turning frequently. The ability to lift and maneuver objects of varying dimensions and weights up to 50 lbs is also required.
