At Penn Machine Company LLC, we're seeking a skilled Blaster to join our team. As a Blaster, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our railcar maintenance operations.

Job Summary:

We're looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to operate blasting equipment to remove rust, scale, paint, and other foreign materials from railcars and related equipment. This is a second-shift position, Monday through Friday, with a focus on teamwork and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate blasting equipment to prepare surfaces for painting and stenciling.
  • Adjust equipment as needed to ensure efficient and proper blasting.
  • Perform surface preparation of non-finished railcars and components using various blast media methods.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance procedures for blast and recovery systems.
  • Work in adverse weather conditions and perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs.
  • Lift 50 pounds with proper body mechanics.
  • Work within a teamwork environment with regular and predictable attendance.
  • Keep work areas clean and orderly and report potential hazards.
