Clinical Director Job Description

The Clinical Director will play a crucial role in the management and quality assurance of all clinical services provided by Liberty Bay Recovery Center. This position reports to the Executive Director and is responsible for the training of all clinical staff, ensuring compliance with county, state, and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical supervision for all clinical staff on clinical topics relevant to client services provided by Liberty Bay.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical operations, including the oversight of clinical staff and quality assurance of all clinical services.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and Quality Assurance in the development of policies and procedures relating to Liberty Bay programs.
  • Evaluate clinical staff annually and provide feedback for growth and development.
Requirements:
  • Masters Degree in counseling, psychology, behavioral science, or equivalent field of study.
  • Experience providing clinical supervision in accordance with Maine state licensure rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of recovery, mental health, and other co-occurring disorders.
  • Experience in working with addiction in a residential and/or intensive outpatient milieu.
  • Experience in crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills.
  • One to three years of program management experience and staff supervision, including transforming clinical staff into a highly functional team.
  • Experience with client billings.
  • Experience and confidence identifying and implementing evidence-based practices.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Program development, evaluation, solid organizational skills, and public speaking.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, especially using Outlook, Word, Excel, and customized databases.
  • Ability to work in and adapt the culture of a multi-cultural, community-based organization.
  • Commitment to maintain confidentiality.
  • Understanding of the Agency's mission and culture and the ability to maintain appropriate boundaries with staff and clients in all circumstances.
  • Employment contingent upon clear UDS and criminal history record.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to ascend and descend up to three flights of stairs throughout the course of a normal workday.
  • Satisfactory references from employers and/or professional peers.
  • Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen.
