Job Title: Diesel Engine Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Diesel Engine Technician to join our team at Parks Motor Sales Inc. As a Diesel Engine Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and safety of our diesel-powered vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnostic Expertise: Perform diagnostic tests on diesel engines and related components to identify issues accurately.
  • Repair and Replacement: Repair and replace diesel engine components, such as fuel injectors, turbochargers, and exhaust systems.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems to diagnose and resolve complex problems.
  • Quality Assurance: Follow manufacturer guidelines and technical specifications to ensure quality repairs and service.
  • Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding vehicle issues and recommended repairs.
Requirements:
  • GM Certification: General Motors certification as a Diesel Engine Technician.
  • Experience: Proven experience working with diesel engines in an automotive or related environment.
  • Diagnostic Skills: Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Qualifications:
  • Driver's License: Valid US Driver's License
  • Physical Ability: Physically able to stand, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 40 lbs
  • Computer Knowledge: Basic computer knowledge to complete data entry
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and write English and perform basic math
