Job Summary:

As a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery at Baptist Health, you will provide direct comprehensive nursing care to patients from admission to discharge. You will function as an on-shift team member, providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers. Our Labor and Delivery department is equipped with eight labor and delivery suites, two triage bays, two operating rooms, and two recovery bays with wireless monitoring capabilities. We offer natural birthing options, such as nitrous oxide, laboring tubs, and birthing balls. Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional care, and we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct comprehensive nursing care to patients from admission to discharge
Function as an on-shift team member, providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers
Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team
Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

Requirements:

Current Indiana or compact state RN license
BLS for Healthcare Providers required
NRP certification required (obtained within 6 months of hire)
ACLS certification required (obtained within 6 months of hire)
S.T.A.B.L.E certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire)
Previous L&D nursing experience preferred
Minimum of 2 years' experience in Labor and Delivery to be eligible for PRN
